Mission

This engineering-led, customer-facing role sits at the intersection of engineering and commercial activity. You will assess incoming enquiries, review CAD models and technical drawings, prepare quotations and provide expert guidance on additive manufacturing solutions. While many enquiries require rapid evaluation and quotation, the role also involves deeper technical discussions with customers to understand applications, performance requirements and manufacturing challenges. Strong technical credibility and relationship-building skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

· Respond to incoming technical sales enquiries from new and existing customers.

· Review CAD models, engineering drawings and technical specifications.

· Rapidly assess manufacturing requirements and prepare accurate quotations.

· Manage customer enquiries and provide technical guidance throughout the quotation and order process.

· Recommend appropriate additive manufacturing processes, materials and finishing options.

· Undertake deeper technical consultations where applications require detailed assessment.

· Provide Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) guidance where appropriate.

· Collaborate with production and engineering teams on technical feasibility.

· Build long-term customer relationships and become a trusted technical advisor.

· Maintain accurate CRM and quotation records.

Profile

About You

· Experience in engineering, manufacturing, technical sales, design, production or applications engineering.

· Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

· Experience working with 3D CAD models and engineering data.

· Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance.

Desirable

· Experience with additive manufacturing or industrial 3D printing.

· Knowledge of MJF, SLS, SLA or FDM technologies.

· Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).

· Existing BPSS or SC clearance, or eligibility to obtain SC clearance.

· Hands-on 3D printing experience through work, education or personal projects.
