The Boeing Test Operations & Engineering Team is looking for an Additive Manufacturing & Prototype (AMP) Manager based out of Tukwila, WA. Within Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E), the AMP Manager leads a team of Manufacturing Engineers, along with Equipment & Tool Design employees that complete Additive Manufacturing for test work statement in support of multiple Boeing Defense and Commercial programs.
Position Responsibilities:
The role assures a solid interface with other Test Operations and Engineering teams, Test & Evaluation teams, Test Program Management, and program personnel, including early engagement with the test work statement, while managing employees performing engineering, fabrication, and associated technical activities in Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing. It facilitates best-practice documentation, design-practice authorship, knowledge sharing, role development and maturity, and robust design reviews, and collaborates with managers across the organization to guide work placement, resource sharing, and development opportunities. The position develops and strengthens relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and grows the team’s skill base through strategic hiring, individual development, and knowledge sharing. It supervises the AMP statement of work, assigns resources, and supports requirements synthesis, while also leading work-forecast integration, planning, and department budget development and execution. The role provides status updates to program business partners, test program management, and leadership; develops, acquires resources for, and executes project and process-improvement plans; and offers oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Additionally, it implements policies and procedures, sets operational goals, encourages and motivates individuals and the team, and facilitates innovation and special-project opportunities.
