Profile
The Product Designer role at NETX focuses on the development of 3D-printed products including footwear, eyewear, racquets, and other performance-oriented gear. Reporting directly to the co-founder, the designer will contribute to product ideation, procedural modeling, and prototyping of advanced structures optimized for comfort, biomechanics, and performance. This is an ideal opportunity for a designer with strong parametric modeling skills, proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper, and a passion for creating innovative, performance-driven geometries.
Key Responsibilities
Design and prototype 3D-printed sport and lifestyle gear using Rhino, Grasshopper, and other CAD/modeling tools
Develop lattice structures, padding systems, and performance surfaces optimized for comfort and biomechanics
Prepare procedural models for 3D printing (SLA/SLS) and ensure manufacturability
Translate experimental concepts into functional prototypes and high-quality visualizations
Conduct research on biomimicry, parametric design approaches, and manufacturing constraints
Produce renders, design decks, and visual content for internal review and presentation
Qualifications
Background in Industrial Design, Product Design, Computational Design, or a related field
Proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper for parametric and procedural modeling
Experience or strong interest in 3D printing and additive manufacturing
Understanding of material behavior, human anatomy, and movement-based product design
Strong portfolio demonstrating digital design, lattice systems, and performance gear projects
Independent, proactive, and comfortable working in a hybrid or remote setup
