The Features of the Mark Two

The Mark Two is a 3D printer dedicated to professionals wishing to produce parts combining strength and solidity. Developed by the American manufacturer Markforged, the 3D printer has two extruders to combine two printing materials: a plastic base (Nylon or Onyx) and a composite reinforcement material including: carbon fiber filament, glass fiber filament, HSHT glass fiber filament and Kevlar filament.

The MarkForged 3D printer is based on a filament extrusion process and can print parts up to 320 x 132 x 154 mm with a minimum layer thickness of 100 microns and at a maximum speed of 280mm/s. The Mark Two can be operated using the Eiger software or via a front panel control screen. The Mark Two printer is equipped with a platen that attaches to the platen support with a precision of 10 microns. This technology offers the possibility to remove the tray during printing, reinstall it and continue printing without risk. The tray will always be positioned accurately.

Finally, the touch screen of the Mark Two is integrated into the aluminum chassis of the printer. It allows you to manage the different settings of the printer such as the management of queues, the launching of prints or the Wifi connection. The navigation within the printer menu is intuitive and easy to use.
