Dremel is a subsidiary of the German Robert Bosch GmbH, which was acquired in 1993. The Dremel Corporation was founded in 1932 by Albert J. Dremel in Racine, Wisconsin in the USA, where it still has its headquarters today. Starting with the production of small DIY devices such as hot glue guns, gas soldering irons or circular saws with angular gears, the company expanded its portfolio to include 3D printers in 2019. Especially in the US, its products are finding favor. As far as 3D printers are concerned, the target group is primarily schools and the aim is to increase the interest of young people in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths).
