TierTime’s ABS coils are specially designed to work with the printers of the Chinese manufacturer TierTime. These include the Up! Plus 2, the Up! Plus, the Up! Mini as well as the Up! Box.
ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) melts between 200 and 250 ºC and can withstand very low temperatures (-20ºC) or high temperatures (80ºC). In addition to its good resistance, this material provides a polished surface, is reusable and can be smoothed by a chemical process (using acetone in particular). However, it is not biodegradable and shrinks on contact with the air, which is why the printing platform is heated to prevent parts from being peeled off.
