Chinese manufacturer Tiertime has unveiled its Up 300D machine. The 3D printer uses MEM (Melted Extrusion Modelling) technology, a process similar to FDM. With its 3D printing solutions such as the Up 300, Up 600 and Up Mini 3, the company is expanding its portfolio of 3D printers that exploit the extrusion process of thermoplastic materials. This machine is designed for professionals. It has been designed to offer high precision, while facilitating its use. The 3D printer allows for a wide range of applications, including engineering, prototyping, medical and architecture.

Features of the Up 300D

The Up 300D can produce parts with a maximum size of 205 × 255 × 225 mm. As for the size of the machine, it measures 500 x 523 x 460 mm for a weight of 30kg. The 3D printer is capable of printing up to 200 mm/s, with an accuracy of 7 (X), 7 (Y) and 1.5 (Z) microns. Tiertime offers a dual extruder fed by a nozzle. The nozzle diameter varies between 0.2, 0.4, 0.5 and 0.6. In addition, the maximum temperature of the extruder can reach 299°C. The Up 300D is also equipped with a 4.3 inch color LCD screen. It incorporates the air filtration system offering maximum reduction of volatile organic compounds for a safer environment. Regarding compatible materials, the Tiertime 3D printer can print PLA, ABS, PETG or TPU plastics. In terms of filament diameter, it remains 1.75mm. Finally, the Up 300D can be used with the UP Studio 3.0 software (available on Windows and Mac). Note that the machine has a filament dryer option to remove moisture from the material.
