Manufacturer Anisoprint has developed a range of professional and industrial composite machines to meet a wide range of needs. For example, the Composer A3 and A4 machines will allow users to design fiber-reinforced parts while the PROM IS 500 3D printer meets industrial requirements. It is compatible with high-performance thermoplastics such as PEEK, PEKK and PPSU, as well as PEI, PAEK, PPSU, PSU, PA, and PC.

Characteristics of the PROM IS 500 printer

With a generous printing volume of 600 x 420 x 300 mm, the PROM IS 500 integrates 4 print heads to increase productivity while ensuring a certain repeatability (diameter from 0.4 mm to 1.2 mm available). This makes it a perfect choice for larger scale production of monolithic parts. It offers a minimum layer thickness of 60 microns and a maximum travel speed of 20,000 mm per minute. The industrial machine incorporates a touch screen, a heated enclosure that can reach up to 160°C and a compartment for storing materials up to 90°C (6 coils at a time).

Thanks to its Composte Fiber Co-extrusion (CFC) technology, the PROM IS 500 can design continuous fiber composite parts with either carbon or glass fibers. These can be combined with high-performance thermoplastics, guaranteeing the best mechanical properties for sectors such as aerospace or automotive that require high heat or impact resistance.

The PROM IS 500 has an open system, meaning the user has full choice of suitable materials; it is designed to run continuously in a factory environment, which again makes it ideal for large productions. The printer uses Windows operating systems (OS) 7,8 and 10.

What Do Users Think?

User reviews state that the printer is a safe and reliable option and appear to back up the manufacturer claims – although reviews are limited in number.
