Anycubic was established in 2015 in Shenzen, China, and has since become known worldwide as an established researcher, vendor, service provider, and developer of 3D printers, offering a wide range of FDM and photopolymer 3D printers that address a variety of industries and applications, including the Photon Mono X 6Ks discussed here. The company has proven its success through its expansion into markets around the world, used by 3D printing hobbyists and industry professionals alike and is now one of the most popular 3D printer brands on the market.

Features of the Photon Mono X 6Ks

The Photon Mono X 6Ks is a desktop MSLA resin 3D printer in the company’s Mono line of resin 3D printers. Much like its older and similarly named sibling, the Photon Mono X 6K, the 6Ks features ultra-high detailed printing functionalities with 6k resolution, at 5,760 x 3,600 px. It shares many similar features with its older brother, albeit with a slight overall decrease in numbers across the board; lower power consumption and lower price at the cost of slightly lower print speeds at 15-60mm/h compared to the 6K’s 80mm/h and smaller print dimensions.

However, this does not make the 6Ks a slouch in any sense, the printer still has a remarkable capacity for high-detail printing. This is thanks to a high-quality 9.1-inch LCD screen for sharp edges and corners, as well as high light transmittance for faster forming. The printer is available for sale as a single unit, or in combination with Anycubic’s AirPure and washing and curing stations for a total ranging from $349 to $726.
