Pollen AM is a manufacturer of industrial 3D printers. The company’s machines are now compatible with various materials used in the manufacturing industry. The manufacturer offers the Pam Series Lx, the 3D printing solution dedicated to flexible and modular applications. According to the French 3D printer manufacturer, it offers concrete advantages for almost all sectors and trades of the industry. Now available with 1 to 3 extruders, the user can adapt the configuration of the 3D printer to the needs of their project.
Pam Series Lx features
As with the entire Pam Series line, the Pam Series Lx uses PAM, a technology that allows parts to be printed from injection pellets. The machine has four pellet tanks, each connected to an injection chamber that heats and extrudes the material through a wire deposition nozzle. It can therefore be related to the FDM printing process. The Pollen AM 3D printer is designed to be compatible with a wide range of plastics, both standard thermoplastics and elastomers. In terms of the print head, it varies between 1 and 3, depending on how the user wants to operate his machine, with a maximum temperature that can go up to 350 °. A single head allows to make a standard impression. With a second head, another material can be added, while with three nozzles, the user can produce multi-material parts while taking advantage of specific support materials. As for the printing plate, it can rise to 120 °.
As with the other 3D printers in the Pam Series, the Lx model has several nozzle sizes that can vary between 0.25 – 0.30 – 0.40 – 0.60 – 0.80 – 1.00 – 1.20 – 2.00 – 2.50 mm. For the printing resolution, it is 40µm (Z) and 5µm (X,Y). Finally, in terms of dimensions, the Pollen AM machine measures 789 mm in diameter for a height of 925 mm and a weight of 75kg. With this size, the 3D printer can manufacture parts up to ø x 300 x 300 mm.
