Mimaki’s 3DGD-1800 is a large-scale 3D printer designed specifically for creating large three-dimensional signs. Unlike their other models such as the 3DUJ-553 and 3DUJ-2207, this printer utilizes “Gel Dispensing Printing” technology, which rapidly creates layers by curing resin with ultraviolet light.

Key Features of the Mimaki 3DGD-1800 3D Printer

In terms of technical specifications, it can print objects with dimensions of up to 1,450 x 1,110 x 1,800 mm (57.1 x 43.7 x 70.9 inches). Moreover, with the capability to mount two printheads, it can simultaneously produce two different objects. The printed objects come in white, but additional decoration can be applied externally using Mimaki inkjet printers.

The “Gel Dispensing Printing” technology employed in the 3DGD-1800 enables the creation of hollow structures within the printed objects, making it easier for further processing or the incorporation of additional elements. This technology also allows for a printing speed of 350 mm in height per hour. The recommended operating temperature ranges from 16 to 30 degrees Celsius. Finally, the machine itself has dimensions of 3,000 x 2,200 x 2,800 mm and weighs 2,500 kg.
