Developed by US-based Desktop Metal, the InnoventX™ is a scalable 3D printer based on binder jetting technology. The compact device was launched in 2018 and is part of the manufacturer’s X-Series, which also includes the X25Pro™ and X160Pro™.

Features of the InnoventX™

The 3D printer has a maximum build volume of 65 x 160 x 65 mm and a layer thickness between 30 and 200 µm. It is an open platform that can print metal powders, ceramics, sand and composites. Like the other machines in this range, it is equipped with industrial piezoelectric printheads and the manufacturer’s patented Triple ACT binder jetting technology. This technology enables the use of high and low throughput materials, as well as small and large particles.

Other features include external dimensions of 1146 x 794 x 1344 mm and a weight of 500 kg. According to the manufacturer, the InnoventX™ is an ideal 3D printer in education, research, prototyping, rapid product development and small batch production of small components.
