FlashForge is one of the best-known names in the industry when it comes to desktop 3D printers. The Chinese manufacturer is renowned for its affordable solutions and offers several ranges to meet different needs. These include FDM machines and resin 3D printers, including the Focus 6K XL. The printer is part of the brand’s Focus series and has been designed specifically for the dental sector.

Features of the Focus 6K XL 3D printer

The Focus 6K XL 3D printer is based on photopolymerization, and more specifically uses a monochrome 6K screen to cure the resin layer by layer. With a print volume of 276 x 155 x 200 mm, the machine is capable of producing 16 to 20 classically-sized dental parts, such as aligners for example. This is quite a generous volume for a resin 3D printer.

The CPIP technology developed by Flashforge ensures uniform distribution of the light source across the printing plate, enabling parts to be produced stably and efficiently. The manufacturer points out that it has designed the Focus 6K XL for the dental sector, and has developed an entire workflow to facilitate the creation of customized 3D models. Its FlashDental software is a perfect example.
