The Epsilon W27 is a professional 3D printer launched in 2020 by manufacturer BCN3D Technologies. Based in Barcelona, the company announced the launch of its 3 new machines equipped with their own Independent Dual Extrusion (IDEX) system. Specifically, the Epsilon W27 is currently available starting at €5,000. BCN3D offers the possibility of buying the machine with their Smart Cabinet (SC), which increases the performance of the printer by keeping the materials in optimal conditions and thus significantly improving the quality of each print. However, shipment of the SC will not be available until spring 2021.
Like the other two new machines, the Epsilon W27 is designed to ensure maximum productivity through a hassle-free experience. It features a 420 x 300 x 220 print volume and full connectivity to rapidly manufacture functional prototypes with quality and precision. It supports standard thermoplastics, technical materials as well as composite materials. The Epsilon W27 integrates a control screen, an enclosed and heated chamber, facilitating workflow with preset configurations and simple commands.
Epsilon W27’s Double Extrusion Will Optimize Your Work
One of the most striking features of these new machines is the double extrusion. The Epsilon W27 has 5 different 3D printing modes: single mode, duplication mode, mirror mode, multi-material mode and soluble media mode. Thus, the independent double extrusion technology (IDEX) makes the difference in 3D printing.
