Raise3D is an American company founded in 2015 and specializing in the development and manufacture of 3D printers. It has rapidly made a name for itself in the melt deposition market, and at Formnext 2023 announced its entry into the resin solutions market with the launch of its DF2 machine. Raise3D is renowned not only for its Pro2 and Pro3 ranges, but also for educational models such as the E2. In recent years, the manufacturer has focused on speed, offering faster and more accurate 3D printers to meet market needs.

Features of the DF2

The DF2 solution is Raise3D’s first resin machine. It is based on Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology, which rapidly hardens a photopolymer layer to produce the desired object. The DF2 printer offers a print volume of 200 x 112 x 300 mm for a size of 450 x 400 x 730 mm. Equipped with a touch screen, it is capable of a print speed of 25 mm/h and an XY resolution of 2560 x 1440. The model includes an RFID tag for a simpler, more controlled workflow.

The DF2 machine is compatible with the following Raise3D resins: standard, high-precision, 2K resistant, 3K rigid and soon transparent and high-temperature resins. Users can therefore count on a variety of materials and colors (white, gray, apricot). Raise3D has created the “Open Resin” program and is working with BASF and Henkel to offer its customers as many resins as possible.

In terms of applications, the DF2 machine will be ideal for creating both large prototypes and complex parts with high levels of detail. Finally, it will also be well suited to the creation of small production runs, thanks to its ability to maintain consistent quality.

The DF2 printer also includes post-processing solutions: the DF Wash for washing parts and removing excess resin, and the DF Cure for heat-treating parts. This makes post-processing easier, faster and more controlled.
