Features of the D800
The D800 is based on Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology, which uses a projector as a heat source to harden successive layers of material. While the laser works dot by dot, the projector spreads the light across the entire resin tray all at once. It has a print volume of 768 x 432 x 30 mm, an overall size of 1600 x 2300 x 2305 and a weight of 1600 kilograms. It includes four 4K laser projectors and is capable of designing parts with a layer thickness of 100 microns. Its print speed is 400 mm per hour and offers an accuracy of about 0.06 mm.
The D800 is designed for easy removal of parts from the printing plate, ensuring better part quality and safety. It is also able to automatically fill its resin reservoir, recycle the material and start printing autonomously. The goal is to help users develop a simple and smooth workflow. Specifically, once the parts are ready, the machine can eject and retrieve them from a container to start the next run and avoid machine downtime.
